Siesta Key’s Love Story—One That Lasts

Siesta Key’s Love Story—One That Lasts

Some places have traditions that run deeper than the tourist crowds, and Siesta Key is no different. You might know the beach from that mostly awful reality show, but long before that, it had a love story all its own. A Valentine’s tradition, to be exact.

Is it a little cheesy? Sure. But it’s also kind of beautiful. The stories are real. The couples are real. And if your marriage could use a little boost, a reset, or just a moment to remember what it’s all about, this might be just the thing.

Put a Ring on It—Again, Beachside

Marriage is a lot of things—morning coffee routines, inside jokes, and still somehow debating where to eat after all these years. But on February 14, Siesta Key and Nokomis Beach invite couples to hit pause on the everyday and say I do again, this time with sand between their toes and a Florida sunset sealing the deal.

How It Works

For 35 years, couples have gathered on Sarasota’s beaches to renew their vows as the sun dips into the Gulf. A judge officiates. Live music sets the mood. Light refreshments keep things from turning into a hangry standoff. You’ll even get a flower and a renewal certificate—just in case your spouse needs a little proof that they’re still stuck with you.

How to Say “I Do” (Again)

Pre-register by February 9 for $15 per couple online or call 941-861-7275.

Missed the deadline? No worries. Show up by 4:30 p.m. on February 14 with $25 and a credit card, and you’re back in the game.

Vows start at 6 p.m. sharp at:

Siesta Beach – 948 Beach Rd, Sarasota

Nokomis Beach – 100 Casey Key Rd, Nokomis

Don’t be late, unless you really want to test the for worse part of your vows.

Why It Matters

Your wedding day was about the big moments—the perfect dress, the first dance, the carefully chosen words. But years later, it’s the little things that matter most. The way they always bring home your favorite snack. The inside jokes no one else understands. The quiet reassurance that you’re in this together.

This Valentine’s Day, skip the crowded restaurants and overpriced bouquets. Stand in the sand, let the sunset do the decorating, and remind each other why you chose forever in the first place.
