October’s haunted-attraction calendar covers nearly every flavor of fear, from a two-story mansion you can visit year-round to sprawling parks capable of keeping you occupied well after your first scream.
Plenty of Ways to Get Spooked
At the South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach, Fright Nights has three haunts on its 2026 roster: Route 66 – The Slaughter, Cuckoo’s Nest, and Edward Low. Two scare zones keep things interesting outside the main attractions, while midway rides, food, and live entertainment give visitors plenty to do between rounds of terror. Kissimmee’s Mortem Manor doesn’t wait for October. The two-story Victorian-themed haunted attraction operates year-round in Old Town, with dark corridors and rooms full of scares ready whenever the mood strikes.
Things spread out considerably at Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail in Plant City. The miniature horror theme park offers a variety of experiences, including three interactive haunted trails, a haunted hayride, escape games, axe throwing, food vendors, and roaming scare actors. Tickets for the 2026 season must be purchased online in advance, making a little planning worthwhile before heading into the woods.
Make a Night of It
In Dade City, SCREAM-A-GEDDON packs several attractions into its horror park, including Bloodwater Bayou and Ravenhill Asylum. New for 2026, Bonzo’s Bizarre brings carnival games, food, drinks, and plenty of clown-fueled trouble to the midway.
Fear at the Pier Haunted House in Panama City Beach delivers a traditional walk-through haunt packed with dark rooms, creepy characters, and plenty of surprises. Visitors who want to keep the adrenaline going can also tackle the escape rooms and axe throwing offered at the same location, adding puzzles and problem-solving to the night’s plans.
Down in Miami, The Horrorland at Jungle Island fills select fall nights with multiple haunted houses, scare zones, creepy games, themed food and cocktails, and live entertainment.
With haunted trails, sinister mansions, escaped lunatics, creepy clowns, and more than a few strategically placed chainsaws in the mix, picking where to go may be the easiest decision of the night. Figuring out who’s brave enough to lead the group through the door is another matter entirely.
