Orlando is the Most Dog-Friendly Vacation Spot in the Country

Booking.com assembled a list of the most dog-friendly places to visit in the country, and Orlando, known for its theme parks, came in the top spot. 

The research is based on factors including the number of dog-friendly hotels, pet shops, parks and hikes accessible to pets.

With over 600 hotels, Orlando has the most pet-friendly hotel accommodations of the researched locations. Pet-friendly hotels include Universal's Loews Sapphire Falls Resort and The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Disney Area Orlando. 

Similarly, 14 dog-friendly parks are located in the Orlando area. Lake Eola Park’s weekend market sells items for pets and Paw Park has play areas for dogs that include an agility course.

With scores calculated by summing the percentile per capita for each category, Orlando scored a 93 out of 100 for dog-friendliness.
