Loud, Proud, & Fully Booked!

Loud, Proud, & Fully Booked!

Rainbow flags and beach weather make a pretty strong combo, but this year’s Pride calendar is bringing more than colorful photo ops and parade confetti. Across the state, cities big and small are turning June into a month-long excuse to fill downtown streets, waterfront parks, and local bars with live music, dancing, drag shows, food vendors, and enough sequins to temporarily blind someone in direct sunlight.

The best part? No two celebrations feel the same. One weekend might involve a waterfront concert and massive parade crowd. The next could mean sipping wine in Key West while a bartender competition breaks out two blocks away.

Sunshine, Street Fairs & Celebration Season

On Florida’s Gulf Coast, St Pete Pride Weekend is rolling out a three-day celebration June 26-28 under the theme “Here Comes the Sun.” The weekend starts Friday night with a waterfront concert and market before shifting into full festival mode Saturday with a parade and downtown celebration that routinely pulls massive crowds into St. Petersburg’s streets. Sunday wraps things up with a street fair that leans heavily into local artists, vendors, community groups, and small businesses. Grab your tickets ahead of time here

Farther south, Key West Pride runs June 3-7 with a lineup that feels exactly right for Key West. Alongside the expected parade and street fair, the schedule includes wine tastings, themed parties, live entertainment from the world’s first Grateful Drag band, BERTHA, and even a bartender competition that sounds aggressively on-brand for Duval Street. It’s a little tropical, a little chaotic, and fully committed to making sure nobody goes home early. Tickets for the kickoff are available now, so don’t wait around.

Big Crowds, Small Towns, Same Energy

Meanwhile, Northeast Florida is proving that Pride season isn’t limited to major metro areas. The Fernandina Beach Pride Festival & Parade takes over Central Park on June 6 with a Beach Party theme that keeps the atmosphere casual, family-friendly, and community-centered. The event has become a growing hometown tradition, balancing parade energy with accessible programming that welcomes everyone from longtime residents to first-time attendees.

Together, these celebrations show how Pride season keeps evolving across the state. Some weekends come with giant waterfront stages and packed parade routes. Others feel more like neighborhood block parties with better outfits. Either way, June’s social calendar is looking a whole lot more colorful!
