Lake Catherine Blueberry Farms Celebrates 100 Years

Friday, Feb. 25, 2022 marked 100 years since the opening of Lake Catherine Blueberry Farms in Groveland, Florida. 

Over 150 business leaders from the community gathered to celebrate the achievement with a ribbon cutting ceremony. 

The owners of the farm, the Lowe family, started their farming journey in citrus and expanded to farming blueberries after some years. They spent seasons perfecting the crop to establish themselves in the blueberry industry. 

Now a long-lasting business, the blueberry farm is known for its self-picking opportunities and seasonal events.
