Harvest the Fun at Flamingo Gardens!

Harvest the Fun at Flamingo Gardens!

Get ready to strut your stuff, Davie! Flamingo Gardens is turning autumn weekends into full-on fall adventures with their Harvest Festival Weekends beginning October 4. Wander winding garden paths where pumpkins peek from the greenery, curious critters crawl and flutter, and surprises pop up around every corner. From pony rides to hands-on exhibits that make science delightfully spooky, the grounds buzz with energy, laughter, and the kind of moments that make you want to come back for more.

Each weekend brings its own playful twist with themed fun that invites everyone to dress up and dive in. October 4–5 kicks things off with Cowboys & Cowgirls, where hay bales, boots, and bandanas set the scene. October 11–12 sails into pirate territory, complete with swashbuckling antics and treasure-hunting fun. October 18–19 celebrates Día de los Muertos, blending colorful decor, music, and family-friendly crafts, while the festival wraps up October 25–26 with a full-on Halloween bash that’s as lively as it is spooky.

Activities at Flamingo Gardens are built for curiosity and movement. Visitors can hop on hayrides, meet farm animals, or take a pony for a spin. Kids (and adults embracing their inner child!) can get their faces painted, snap selfies at seasonal photo stations, and show off their costumes in the daily 1 PM contest, where candy prizes reward the best efforts. Along the way, live entertainment, festive music, and themed decorations will keep the energy high and the smiles bright!

Adding a quirky twist to the festival is the “Attack of the Bloodsuckers!” gallery exhibit, which runs alongside all weekends. Kids can get hands-on with mosquitoes, leeches, fleas, and other critters, exploring them up close with magnifying stations, games, and playful cartoons. It’s the perfect mix of creepy and educational, turning science into an interactive adventure that’s more fascinating than frightening.

Food and treats are also part of the fall fun. Seasonal snacks—from caramel-covered favorites to other festival-themed goodies—will keep everyone fueled as they explore the gardens.

No matter which weekend you choose, Flamingo Gardens’ Harvest Festival promises laughter, costumes, and a little bit of mischief around every corner. Between hayrides, critter encounters, and hands-on adventures, it’s the perfect way to dive into fall, make memories, and discover surprises you didn’t even know you were looking for!
