Thus, Dave began crafting his pies from scratch, not only as a culinary endeavor but as an homage to his roots and a personal respite from the world. His garage, filled with music, sports, and the strumming of his guitar, became a sanctum where he tinkered, fixed things, and perfected his pizza recipes.
At first, it was a simple home-based venture for family and friends, but the pizzas quickly became a staple in Tallahassee, synonymous with gatherings, celebrations, and life's pivotal moments. From birthdays to post-game feasts, engagements to weddings, and even as a space for reflection after the passing of loved ones, Dave's Pizza Garage has stood as a testament to life's rich tapestry.

Encouraged by the burgeoning demand and supported by his wife's motivating mantra, "Go BIG or go home," Dave transitioned from an e-mail order system to opening the doors of Dave’s Pizza Garage in midtown Tallahassee in 2013. The ethos was clear: “Pizza and wings for those who want THE BEST and KNOW the difference.” The venue quickly morphed into something extraordinary—a place not only for exceptional food but for community and connection.
Now thriving in Killearn, Dave's Pizza Garage is a beacon of what perseverance, passion, and a touch of innovation can achieve. The Best of Florida Award, determined by public votes, stands as a resounding testament to the pizzeria's impact on its patrons. But for Dave, the success isn't his alone.
