PSG Security Academy

PSG Security Academy is the only Security Officer Academy in the State of Florida to be nominated and awarded "Best of Florida" for 2024 and 2025 in the Specialized Education Program category.  

Our CEO and Chief Instructor, Kelly Flanagan, is a retired U.S. Air Force Veteran with 20 years of distinguished service as a Security Police officer.  Kelly is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Southern Watch and was awarded the USAF Commendation Medal (3 awards), the USAF Achievement Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal along with numerous other awards.

Mr. Flanagan has been a law enforcement and military firearms Instructor since 1996 and was the primary Instructor for Tampa Bay's #1 Security School from 2015 until they shut their doors in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic.  In Nov 2020, Kelly established PSG Security Academy and built it to which is now the only all 5-Star rated security school in Tampa Bay with over 200 five-star ratings and one of the only security officer schools in Tampa Bay that is certified with the Better Business Bureau. Their programs do not just include the D and G Security Officer courses but also during the D course you can attain your American Heart Association CPR and AED and Stop the Bleed certifications.  They also offer Concealed Weapons classes as well as beginner and security officer AR-15 and Shotgun certifications.
