North Florida Child Development

North Florida Child Development, Inc. is a non-profit organization in existence for three decades with (2) primary goals of ensuring the health and education of young children and their families, located in Gulf, Calhoun, Liberty, Wakulla, and Madison Counties. NFCD's centers provide a multitude of funding opportunities for all applicants, making high-quality early child development equally affordable to all income levels. One of which is income-eligible Head Start and Early Head Start, our Federally funded program of thirty consecutive years, Florida School Readiness Funding through the Florida Department of Early Learning, Florida  PreK Funding the entitlement for all four-year-olds that are four years of age on or before September 1^st of each year preparing to enter kindergarten the following year, and an affordable childcare cost for employees and fees for service which is in alignment with the prevailing rate.  All enrollment applications are designed to trigger the correct funding source, creating an equitable, unbiased application process. All students will receive comprehensive services that refer to the five areas of readiness: health and physical development, social and emotional development, approaches to learning, language development and communication, and cognition and knowledge. NFCD promotes early learning and development, from infancy to school age, and seeks to identify the early intervention needed to ensure children gain the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in school.
