Designer Exchange

As a young 90's career woman, mother and  wife to a busy attorney,  I was in need of an extensive wardrobe on a very limited budget. My favorite consignment shop fit the bill. Designer Exchange was a new shop in west St. Pete run by a well connected socialite with friends awash in designer clothes.  When she made the decision to sell the shop, I was first in line to purchase it.  The year was 1998 and I purchased the shop for my mother to run and for me to "play with". 

It was a tiny shoebox of a store but I had grand plans.  We expanded to a location across the street and finally bought our own building to house our growing inventory.  I was able to quit my day job and the new millennium ushered in a new era for our  family business. We catered to women who loved beautiful clothing but couldn't afford the retail price tag.  Over the years we have watched our customer's children grow up, marriages, divorce and everything in between.  We have retained many customers and consigners for more than 20 years. We still treat customers as friends and welcome them in with gratitude and appreciation for their support!
