Summer Youth Music Festival

Cordero Music is dedicated to breaking down barriers to entry in the music industry such as gender identity, sexual orientation, race, socioeconomic status, and others, by providing free lessons, free musical instruments, and performance showcases for music industry officials. 

The Summer Youth Music Festival is one of two of our large scale showcases that is designed to be a traditional music festival but with youth musicians in the forefront. We define youth as musicians aged 8-25 year old. We are open to any genre, any size band, and any combination of instruments. We provide a professional stage setting in a real, viable venue (that could serve as a space for future shows for the bands performing), with professional sound and lighting. We also provide backline equipment for all of the musicians as well which includes guitar amps, bass amp, drum kit, and keyboard. This way any musician is able to some on stage and perform. We also bring in local booking agents and talent managers to help our young musicians build their networking skills and community outreach. These VIP members encourage the youth bands to seek out different performance spaces, let them know trends in the music industry, and in some cases, hire them for future events! Our musicians range from just starting out to playing regularly for pay. We are proud to showcase so many amazing youth musicians in the Central Florida area and are so happy with the amount of community support we have received from St. Petersburg, the home of SYMF.
