Root Therapies

Root Therapies offers acupuncture and a full herbal pharmacy to patients and students of Chinese medicine. Owner and practitioner, Dr. Jessica Fritz DACM, AP, is a board certified and Florida licensed Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She received her Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin (AOMA) and her Doctoral degree from Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego. She specializes in women’s health, fertility, pregnancy, pediatric acupuncture, cancer treatment support and internal medicine. Her clinic Root Therapies has won the gold award in 2023 and 2024 for Best Acupuncture in Sarasota. 

With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Fritz utilizes Chinese herbs, Japanese acupuncture techniques as well as Tui Na bodywork and other modalities in her treatments. She lived in Beijing, China for several years, where she studied Mandarin and practiced Tai Chi and Kung Fu.

Dr. Fritz taught at Chatham University and is currently a professor at Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine.
