Sanford Porchfest is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to uniting the community through the power of music and the arts. Rooted in a spirit of generosity and collaboration, this grassroots festival transforms front porches into stages and neighborhoods into gathering spaces, celebrating creativity, connection, and community pride.
Located in the historic residential district, Sanford Porchfest is a vibrant grassroots, community-driven music and arts festival held in historic downtown Sanford, Florida. It transforms ordinary front porches into impromptu performance stages, inviting local musicians to showcase a diverse range of music - from folk and jazz to rock, classical, and spoken word - while neighbors and visitors stroll between locations listening and connecting.
Driven by the belief that the arts should be accessible to all, Sanford Porchfest raises funds to support arts education through scholarships and programming. Every dollar raised (from donations, sponsorships, art auctions, and merchandise) is reinvested into the community, helping fund tuition for performing arts summer camps and awarding scholarships to local high school seniors and college students through its established scholarship funds.
Entirely volunteer-run, from organizers and performers to the generous homeowners who open their porches, Sanford Porchfest is a heartfelt celebration of music, unity, and the transformative power of giving back.

Sparked by a summer idea among four local women—Shelly, Kim, Shana, and Nancy—Sanford Porchfest was inspired by a similar festival in Ithaca, NY. The first Sanford edition launched in 2018 and has grown steadily since.Award-Winning Local Tradition
