Bella Napoli Pizzeria & Restaurant has been a cornerstone of the community since 2003, proudly serving handcrafted pizza and authentic Italian-American cuisine to locals and visitors alike. What began as a beloved neighborhood pizzeria evolved into a full dining experience after Vitangelo and Theresa Recchia acquired the restaurant in 2014, bringing with them a renewed vision centered around hospitality, quality, and culinary passion.

Under their leadership, Bella Napoli expanded beyond traditional pizza offerings, introducing thoughtfully curated Italian-American dishes that reflect both comfort and creativity. Signature favorites such as the Wild Mushroom & Goat Cheese Ravioli and the Bosciolo — meaning “The Farm” — showcase fresh vegetables, bold flavors, and the restaurant’s commitment to elevated yet approachable cuisine.

Vitangelo Recchia’s dedication to the craft of pizza gained international recognition in 2023 when he earned Second Place in the World for Teglia Pizza at the prestigious Campionato Mondiale della Pizza in Parma, Italy. He was also recognized as the top American pizzaiolo in the competition. Inspired by his global experiences and relentless pursuit of excellence, Vitangelo expanded Bella Napoli’s pizza program to feature five distinct styles: New York, Sicilian, Detroit, Roman, and Grandma-style pizzas.

Community has always remained at the heart of Bella Napoli. Whether distributing free turkeys during Thanksgiving alongside fellow local businesses, serving complimentary pizzas after Hurricane Irma, or providing meals to workers rebuilding the area following Hurricane Ian, Vitangelo and Theresa have consistently believed that supporting the community is just as important as serving great food.

Theresa Recchia’s passion and expertise in wine and spirits further elevate the Bella Napoli experience. Since obtaining a full liquor license in 2021, the restaurant has developed an extensive beverage program featuring international wines with a strong emphasis on Italian selections, alongside handcrafted Italian-inspired cocktails and indulgent dessert martinis.

Today, Bella Napoli continues to blend tradition with innovation — remaining a welcoming gathering place for locals while constantly evolving its menu, atmosphere, and offerings.
