About
Island SPACE Caribbean Museum is a dynamic cultural institution in South Florida dedicated to preserving and celebrating the art, history, music, and traditions of the Caribbean. Located in Broward County, the museum offers visitors an immersive journey through the stories, creativity, and global influence of Caribbean people across generations.
The museum features a permanent historical exhibit and rotating art and cultural exhibits exploring Caribbean heritage through music, carnival traditions, migration stories, visual art, literature, folklore, and popular culture. Visitors can experience artifacts, multimedia displays, educational installations, and curated exhibitions highlighting the diversity and interconnectedness of the Caribbean region.
Island SPACE also produces year-round cultural programming for all ages, including lectures, artist talks, educational workshops, youth activities, film screenings, business and networking events, and community celebrations inside the facility. Bringing programming out into the community, their signature events include the internationally inspired Reggae Genealogy Music Festival, the Island SPACE Mango Festival, the Anancy Children’s Reading Festival, the Rum Cake & Caribbean Black Cake Festival, and H.E.R.S. — Honoring Exceptionally Regal Sisters.
Whether visiting for an exhibit, a live event, or a family-friendly cultural experience, guests are invited to connect with the stories, traditions, and creative spirit of the Caribbean in meaningful and engaging ways.
