Quayside Art Gallery

Local art is housed on 3 floors of  the former Germania Fire and Hose, Co.  Our mural depicts the prior life of our building and is a great place for a selfie!  Quayside ART Gallery features the Germania Fire and Hose Collection, Jewelry, Batiks, Wood & Metal, Clay, Photography, Oils, Acrylics, Watercolors, Fiber, Glass, and more.  Quayside has been a Pensacola gem since 1973! Family Friendly and welcoming.

Our background: We began in an abandon warehouse on S Palafox Street when a group of artists got together to sell art on Friday and Saturday nights.  Keeping the doors open often involved fund raising: fish fries and chili feeds.  The locals began to notice and became patrons and members of our co-op.  The mission to have a place to display and sell art, share and educate other artistic forms with artists and the public became a success.  The present downtown has these forward thinking artists who saw the potential and took action to re-vitalize the area.  In 1983 we bought the former Germainia Hose and Fire Co.   Having been neglected for years it amazingly took only 6 months to change it into 3 floors of art space using VOLUNTEER LABOR.  The rest of the world was heading to the mall with AC and free parking, but we believed in the downtown.  Art was hung from the ceiling to the floor.  As a co-op everyone pitches in to keep the doors open.  We invite you to come meet the artists or join as an artist.
