Lou Foundation Incorporated

I never imagined that one of the greatest losses of my life would become the foundation for one of my greatest purposes.

After the passing of my son, Lou, my world changed forever. Like many parents who experience the unimaginable, I found myself searching for meaning in a pain that words could never fully describe. In the midst of that grief, I made a promise to myself and to him—that his life would continue to make a difference.

Lou Foundation Inc.™ was born from that promise.

Lou was my son’s name, and in his honor, L.O.U. came to stand for Love Others Unconditionally. What began as a simple way to honor his memory became a guiding principle for my life and the foundation’s mission. Every day, I strive to live out those words because they remind me of the love that continues to connect us.

There are moments when grief still shows up unexpectedly. The loss never truly disappears. But over time, I learned that while grief changes us, it can also inspire us. It can move us to serve, to give back, and to create something meaningful for others.

What began as a personal journey through loss grew into a mission dedicated to supporting children, families, and underserved communities through education, outreach, mentorship, creative healing, and acts of service. Through Lou Foundation Inc.™, we work to create opportunities, foster hope, and remind people that they are not alone in their struggles.

My lived experience has taught me the importance of compassion, community, and meeting people where they are. It has shown me that healing looks different for everyone and that sometimes the most powerful thing we can offer another person is simply love, understanding, and support.

Today, Lou’s legacy lives on through every family we serve, every child we encourage, and every life we touch. While this foundation was born from loss, it is sustained by love. It is a reflection of a mother’s love for her son and a commitment to ensuring that his light continues to shine through service to others.
