Plantain Products Company is a manufacturer/packer of plant-based snacks located in Miami, Florida under the Chifles brand. It was founded in 1963 when the Argudo family moved to Tampa, Florida after being inspired by street vendors that sold plantain chips in Havana, Cuba, making it one of the oldest Hispanic snack brands in the U.S. It was later acquired by the Rivas family in 2017 and it is now the #1 plantain chip in the nation according to IRI Worldwide data.
