B. Wright Leadership Academy strives to create an environment where students and families participate in the co-design of learning, experience, and opportunities. BWLA boasts about operating a learning institution that is tailored to the individual needs of each student with small class sizes, low teacher-student ratios, caring staff, committed partners, and an enriched school with hands-on learning influenced by youth voice and choice.

Brindley “Brent” Wright has always been a leader. As a professional athlete he was often given the title of “team captain”. It was not until this professional athlete turned into a business owner, would see how his skills on the basketball court transferred to business management. Like most business owners, his ability to lead was tested. Despite his insecurities, Brent continued to preserve. He made investments in himself by studying the field of education and business to perfect his craft. He wanted to be literature in areas that were once foreign to his experience. Brent has many successes. One of his proudest is the owner and operator of B. Wright Leadership Academy. He has been able to sustain his establishment successfully for 10 years now. He’s grateful for the opportunity to serve the community that invested in him as a child. Brent’s work extended far beyond the classroom. It is his in heart to provide resources and services that would benefit the whole child, which includes their families and community. He has provided for hundreds economically through B. Wright’s Family Foundation. This foundation has served as a safe house to many facing crisis. His leadership and commitment to service classify him as a legacy to be honored.
