Touch of Grey Rescue

Touch of Grey Rescue is a 501(c)3 organization that was founded in February 2019 in Melbourne Beach with the specific goal and mission to save/rescue the senior and special needs dogs in shelters as well as those that need to be re-homed (owner surrenders, death, etc.) in the state of Florida.  We are an all breed, all volunteer, foster based group. That means that for all the dogs we rescue/save, they immediately go to loving foster families. They open their hearts and homes to these very deserving dogs. We pay/cover the cost (vetting, supplies, food, meds, supplements, etc.) we do not have a brick and mortar shelter. At any time we have 35-40 dogs under our care. Our hope is to have every dog adopted, but unfortunately due to medical issues some will remain with the foster until they pass and are part of our hospice program. Currently our average spent per dog is between $3,000 -$4,000, but sometime it is much higher than that. We provide our dogs with dignity and a quality of life which many of them never had.  Age is only a number, and most pups have a lot of life and love to give.

We are so very appreciative of our fosters, adopters and supporters who show us each and every day how big their hearts are. Without the community support, we couldn't continue to rescue/save these dogs in need.

As of March 2026, we have saved 603 dogs!
