West Coast Karate

We are a family owned and operated martial arts school located in the Lutz/ Land O Lakes. We offer traditional martial arts classes, sport karate, weapons classes, daytime homeschool classes, and an after school pickup program.  Our dojo is a member of the World United Isshin-ryu Karate Association. We have a reputation in our community for building a sincere passion for martial arts while teaching our students in an environment that is both structured and fun.

 What sets us apart from other programs is our family atmosphere where our students are our priority. Our program is designed to build confidence, discipline, and Integrity. 

 Sensei James Stevens Jr. is the owner and lead instructor.  Sensei “Jimmy” is a Florida native. He has been practicing martial arts for 17 years, training hundreds of students over the last 13 years. He was just named the 2023 Regional Winner of the Double Goal Coaching Award by the Positive Coaching Alliance. Sensei Jimmy rose to the top of our hundreds of National competitors for his model of striving to win, while pursuing teaching life lessons.
