About

First Coast Rowing Club’s mission is to help youth establish strong character, learn life skills and develop physically and emotionally through the sport of rowing. FCRC youth compete at every level, from middle school scrimmages to varsity national championship events.

We are  open to interested middle and high school students. From our humble beginning in 1990 with wooden boats and oars, we have become a well-established youth program boasting a fleet of competition-grade shells and oars, thanks to the hard work and generosity of our parents and donors. We have dressing rooms and bathrooms, a training room, and a covered shelter for our equipment. Since 1994, FCRC has won five national titles and more than 100 State Championships. FCRC rowers have participated in gold medal wins at the Junior World Rowing Championships as part of the Junior National Team and FCRC Alumni have raced and won in the collegiate division of the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta in England. Many FCRC rowers continue to row in college, some with full scholarships.

First Coast Rowing Club is a Florida nonprofit 501(C)(3) corporation and our Board of Directors is made up of dedicated members of the community.
