Wild N’ Green Tropics

At Wild N’ Green Tropics it’s our mission to ‘Bring the Jungle to all’. We specialize in unique and uncommon tropical plants and houseplants. A majority of our plants are assorted types of Aroids. Originating from various jungles and rainforests. 

Shannon Wetherington, the founder/CEO started Wild N’ Green tropics when she realized these plants were not easily accessible locally in Southwest Florida. Accessibility and quality of aroids locally was needed. Shannon is originally from Clermont, FL where she was heavily involved in her local FFA chapter. She first joined FFA at 11 years old in 6th grade. Her 8th grade year she won a few state championships, one being in OH Demo (ornamental horticultural demonstration) for ‘plant cloning’. Having had a passion for plants her whole life and seeing a need locally for agriculture and plants, Wild N’ Green Tropics was born in July of 2023. 

Our goal is to make sure everyone feels welcome to come to us no matter what stage in their plant journey they’re in. From beginners to collectors we want to make sure we can service and help everyone alike. We make sure to carry plants that are incredibly easy and forgiving, to collectors plants that are not commonly found. Not only do we want to make sure we offer plants for everyone, but also to ensure we give everyone the tools and knowledge to successfully care for their plants and thrive.
