For families, Famlo is a single place to discover local homeschool communities, classes, co-ops, micro-schools, and events. You can search by city, age range, interest, or learning style; see exactly what's coming up; RSVP or register in a few taps; and pay any fees right inside the app. No more hunting through Facebook groups, missing sign-ups, or showing up to the wrong park because the details lived in someone's group chat. Famlo is free for families.

For community leaders and homeschool businesses, Famlo replaces the patchwork of tools most groups outgrow within a year. A Famlo community comes with:

• Your own community page with custom branding, a unique URL (famlo.co/your-community), and control over privacy (public, unlisted, or approval-required).
• Member management with roles, approvals, co-leaders, and a real roster — not a Google Sheet someone forgets to update.

Why we exist. Famlo was started by Carl VanderLaan, a software builder, after he and his wife Holly began homeschooling their two kids and saw firsthand how hard it was to find their people — and how much unpaid administrative work the leaders running those communities were carrying. Famlo is built for the families and the leaders, with faith, family, and real community at its center. It isn't a marketplace trying to commoditize education; it's the operating system for the people already doing the work.
