About
LowTE Florida was founded by Nurse Practitioner, Carolyn Zaumeyer in 2013. LowTE Florida has grown over the years and has treated 23,000+ patients. Low TE Florida specializes in optimizing hormones for men and women as they age. Some of the symptoms of low hormone levels include, fatigue, weight gain, mood swings, low libido, joint pain, brain fog and more.
Carolyn Zaumeyer, MSN, APRN, is a highly respected nurse practitioner with over 30 years of experience in women’s health and hormone therapy. She is the founder of LowTE Florida in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she specializes in personalized hormone optimization for both men and women. Carolyn is passionate about empowering her patients with knowledge and practical solutions to improve their quality of life. Her latest book, Are You Hormone Curious? The Science of Hormone Therapy for Men and Women Explained, offers an insightful, science-based guide to understanding hormone health. Carolyn is dedicated to helping individuals achieve balance and vitality through evidence-based care.
An experienced and dedicated nurse practitioner, Carolyn has studied under our nation’s most renowned hormone experts and currently is sharing her knowledge and expertise with her patients at LowTE Florida®. With a personalized approach to care, Carolyn takes the time to get to know her patients so she can better understand their needs and provide the most effective care.
Carolyn received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, and Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Florida International University in Miami. She was recently recognized for her service to the nursing profession and dedication to women’s health by her alma mater, receiving an Outstanding Achievement Award from Florida International University Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
As the Founder and Chairman of LowTE Florida, Carolyn has more than 30 years of exceptional patient care, Carolyn has authored two books and over 100 publications. She has become an established public speaker, appearing nationally and internationally at more than 100 conferences. Carolyn has served on the Advisory Board for the Duke-Johnson & Johnson Nursing Leadership Fellowship Program at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and as President of both the Women’s Executive Club and the National Association of Women Business Owners.
Over the years, Carolyn has taught at Florida International University, Florida Atlantic University, and most recently at Duke University in North Carolina. Men and women travel from all over the world to consult with Carolyn and get the care they need to revitalize their health at LowTE Florida.
A little fun fact… Carolyn’s charity of choice is Save the Chimps – a beautiful sanctuary for chimps to live out their remaining years after being abused as laboratory test chimps, sent to space with our Air Force, used in entertainment and as pets. As a proud member of the Forever Health Practitioner Network, whose national spokesperson was Suzanne Somers; Carolyn worked with Suzanne on several projects. Carolyn and Suzanne had a great rapport and are like-minded in their beliefs of healthy aging and BHRT.
Carolyn is currently providing BHRT to men and women, vaginal rejuvenation, medical weight loss programs, hair repair/loss solutions and cosmetic injections at her Fort Lauderdale office.
In 2023 and 2024 Carolyn and LowTE Florida have been recognized by the Healthcare Business Review as one of the Top Hormone Therapy Providers in the country.
