Paragon Theaters - Ridge

Paragon Entertainment Holdings, LLC was founded in 2009 by visionary exhibition industry veterans Michael Whalen and Michael Wilson, who were originally responsible for helping to introduce the luxury theater concept to the U.S. 

Over the years, Mike and Mike have successfully built a “customer-first” corporation consisting of a diverse portfolio of entertainment-related brands operating mainly in Florida, North Carolina and Virginia.  Key brands within the Paragon  umbrella include mainstream and independent theaters (Paragon Theaters and Lotus Cinemas), bowling and arcade (Penny Lanes) and restaurant/bar operations (The Agency Kitchen & Bar and The Agency Bar & Social).

Paragon Theaters has had a consistent strategy of acquiring, renovating and building a successful collection of signature theaters throughout the United States.  With an emphasis on supremely comfortable design, elevated amenities, premium concessions, and reimagined sight and sound; Paragon Theaters presents a complete, state-of-the-art sensory experience. Paragon has recently updated their entire circuit post-pandemic in 2022 to introduce new amenities like LuxBox VIP Dine-in Seating and Axis15 and Axis15 Extreme screens which feature 4K laser projection and Dolby Atmos immersive sound technologies.  Mike and Mike also opened Lotus Cinemas, a cinema-within-a-cinema at the Parkside Town Commons location in Cary, NC in early 2022.  Lotus Cinemas, a  four-screen/250+ seat theater, is solely dedicated to screening independent, avant-garde, foreign and Bollywood films, a first of its kind in the Raleigh-Durham Triangle.  The newest theater debuted July 1, 2022 as anchor to the giant Fenton mixed-use retail, residential and entertainment community at Fenton in Cary, NC, featuring new amenities like Lux Box, Axis15 Extreme and contactless concessions ordering.

Most recently, Paragon Theaters expanded their portfolio to create the ‘ultimate  entertainment destinations’ at a variety of their theater locations, including the acquisition of three bowling centers, debuting as Penny Lanes in 2021 in Delray Beach, FL, Cary, NC, and Fredericksburg, VA.  These bowling centers feature the latest in bowling technology and gaming, including Brunswick Sync for scoring and gaming, and Brunswick Spark for augmented reality gaming on the lanes.  In addition, Paragon Theaters has invested heavily to modernize the arcades at these locations - adding multiple new games along with industry-first PlayBox, a giant digital, interactive game for up to five players, exclusively at the Delray and Fredericksburg locations.  Cary, NC,  residents also get to experience Lucky Putt, a seven-hole technologically driven version of mini-golf right inside Penny Lanes, next to the lanes.  

Paragon Entertainment Holdings, LLC also oversees the diverse eatery and bar concept known as the The Agency Kitchen & Bar at their locations in Delray, FL, and Fredericksburg, VA and as The Agency Bar & Social at Fenton in Cary, NC  These restaurants/bar are great places to be social, or to catch a bite to eat, experience a curated wine list or handcrafted cocktails, or just to watch a game on the big screen.  These locations also power the Dine-In seating options (Lux Box) at their local Paragon Theaters.   

Paragon is headquartered in Deerfield Beach.  Paragon Theater's newest location is under construction in Falls Church, VA, debuting in late 2023.   Paragon continues to uphold its value statement of building the ‘ultimate entertainment destination’.
