Piper Counseling & Psychiatric Services

Piper Counseling & Psychiatric Services, also known as Backdoor Counseling, LLC, is a general practice that offers a broad range of mental health counseling and therapeutic services to patients of all ages, from children to adults.

I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, in 1996. Subsequently, I completed my Master's in Community Counseling at Florida Gulf Coast University, graduating in 2001. In 2005, I obtained my clinical license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and received my Qualified Supervisor Certification in 2015. I am currently trained in Level II Gottman Method Couples Therapy and working towards becoming a certified Gottman Therapist. In addition to being trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, I hold national board certification as a master hypnotherapist, international board certification as a transgender therapist, and international certification as a clinical sex therapist.
