Chef's In Progress

Chefs In Progress is a locally owned culinary school in Cape Coral founded by Chef Cameron Ball with a passion for helping kids and teens build confidence, independence, and lifelong skills through cooking.

Chef Cameron is an American Culinary Federation (ACF) Certified Chef who furthered his culinary education at the world-renowned Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland, where he trained on a 100-acre organic farm and learned the importance of fresh, seasonal ingredients and sustainable cooking. That experience shaped his belief that every child should understand where food comes from, how to prepare it, and how to make healthy choices for themselves and their families.

He started Chefs In Progress because he saw too many young people growing up without the confidence or knowledge to cook healthy meals. His mission is to inspire kids and teens to look beyond fast food and convenience meals by making cooking fun, exciting, and approachable. Through every class, he hopes to give students the skills and confidence to navigate their own health and wellness for a lifetime.

Today, Chefs In Progress offers hands-on cooking classes, homeschool enrichment programs, culinary clubs, birthday parties, summer camps, and culinary competitions for children and teens of all experience levels. Students learn real cooking techniques while building teamwork, creativity, problem-solving skills, and self-confidence in a welcoming environment.

At Chefs In Progress, we believe cooking is one of the greatest gifts you can give a child. Every recipe teaches more than just food—it teaches confidence, independence, responsibility, and skills that will last a lifetime.
