Arcadia-Desoto County Habitat For Humanity

Arcadia-DeSoto County Habitat for Humanity (DeSoto Habitat) is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope.

Since 2000, DeSoto Habitat has been dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.

Through our Homebuyer Program, we partner with deserving families to create pathways to homeownership. Additionally, our Home Repair Program offers vital assistance to homeowners needing critical repairs. Since Hurricane Ian in September 2022, we have provided targeted support to families affected by the disaster, organizing donation distributions and directly assisting impacted residents.

We further strengthen our community by offering homeownership and financial education classes, empowering residents to build sustainable futures. Our extensive experience and commitment to community resilience ensure we effectively support families and promote stronger neighborhoods.
